  • Which CMS (Content Management System) would you recommend to a beginner?

Many websites use WordPress as a CMS. It's free and simple to use - it might be beneficial in the very beginning when you're just getting familiar with the ins and outs of creating a website or blog. However, Sonar is a more professional and adaptable CMS once you've gained some expertise with it.

There are tons of good choices.  It all depends on how fast the person can learn.   For instance, if they wanted something mobile ready and a forum, then unless they were experienced enough to load up a mobile ready theme, they would need mobile friendly software "out of the box".

I know about Joomla, ojooo, wix, WordPress etc. If I'm recording a CMS software for a beginner like me, then I'll simply choose WordPress, it's simply the best amongst all.

Wordpress for a Blog or MyBB or PHPBB3 for a forum software. You can then migrate to a better platform like Invision Community sometime if it kicks off.

My blog is running on WordPress and it's been simple enough to get things started. There's also a ton of support out there for WordPress that one can go to if they need help.
