There are tons of good choices. It all depends on how fast the person can learn. For instance, if they wanted something mobile ready and a forum, then unless they were experienced enough to load up a mobile ready theme, they would need mobile friendly software "out of the box". -

I know about Joomla, ojooo, wix, WordPress etc. If I'm recording a CMS software for a beginner like me, then I'll simply choose WordPress, it's simply the best amongst all.Comment

Wordpress for a Blog or MyBB or PHPBB3 for a forum software. You can then migrate to a better platform like Invision Community sometime if it kicks off.Comment

My blog is running on WordPress and it's been simple enough to get things started. There's also a ton of support out there for WordPress that one can go to if they need help.Comment
