Many Kings and Queens have used it in the past. For a King and Queen it's almost necessary. It gets a bit confusing the higher the number. My opinion on it is to represent a family member that may be a Jr. down the line or a King and Queen it's a good method.

Excluding royalty, I heard if your son has the same name as you, the son gets Jr but if your son's son has the same name as you, and not your son, the son's son get II

I agree that the higher it goes, the harder it is to remember. Even when they do the Roman Numerals for i.e. the end of a movie, it takes me a bit to figure out the date. While it looks fancy, I would honestly prefer it to be in numbers.

They're better used in some situations than others.. I never fully understood why they were used at the end of TV shows and movies, much easier to just put the numerical year. I'm sure there is a reason, I just can't be bothered to Google it.

When used for titles, whether for people or games (ie. Queen Victoria II or Final Fantasy IX) they just look better..

I really like playing Final Fantasy series. My favorite is Final Fantasy VII Remake. Have you played the game?
