  • Buying Games, Rejecting them, Costing!

I have been looking at the games that steam and epic has been offering and while I been reading up about the game, it's got me thinking more than anything that the fact that I reject the game as soon as I look at the cost. I mean I waited for Eco for weeks and waiting to play the game with mates, one day I got the game at 14% cheaper than anywhere else.

Has anyone wanted a game or looked at the game and say to yourself, Yeah, I want that. Yet you reject it since the cost and you think to yourself that you need the money more than the game. I have just seen a game for $5 as it's 80% off and while it looks cool and on beta, I thought to myself Hmmm, Yes or no! Even it's only $5 worth it still can buy me coffee and a game that I might not even play lol

I think I got Dragonball Fighter Z for only $8 with the season pass. So I can feel what your saying. Because a lot of times the prices on games are lowered quite a bit. You can save a lot of money simply by waiting a while.

I wanted to buy eco, but I do feel your point. Personally I think I have too much of games until I'm confused what to play so i ended up deserting them it does make you consider will you just spend (insert amount of cash) for a game that you play for a day or so rather we could save up for something more precious. If I play a game more than 1000 hours I say its worth it then again I feel like I'm not using my time wisely too.

I personally wait until there's a sale, as it feels somewhat inevitable these days that no matter what game you want - it will go on sale within a couple of months anyway.

I begrudge paying any more than 50% of the "standard" price..

The cost doesn't really bother me that much especially for games that I definitely want to play and like. There are a few games that I want to try but the price will put me off but that's mainly because those aren't games I'm 100% in love with

I don't have any such problems, as I buy most of the games 2nd hand. Used games are cheap and gives same performance as new ones. Only thing is that while buying one, you need to carefully inspect for any damages to the disk. :giggle:

I only spend money on CD games which I've experienced on demo version. I sometimes live - stream it to find out if its interesting, if i like it i go for it.

You reminded me my college days. Before buying any game, first I used to watch trailers. Once satisfied, I used to download a demo version. After everything is as per expectation, then only go for a buy.

It was like some objectives, to complete it before going for the final commitment.

That's it dear, you really said my mind, Lol. If i don't do it that way, i might be losing my money on CD games i never liked. So having the feeling of the game through trailer/demo is the best to satisfy my curiosity before buying.

Almost every game I purchase, I do extensive research. Since I would be going to invest my valuable time there.

Trailers, demos are the best way to know about games firsthand.

You're simply right dear, its good to test those games before purchase to avoid had i know issues. Demo and trailer versions are simply the best to acknowledge that.
