    Similar Threads, new addition to Mind Piff

    Simple update as to do the proper and keep you guys updated. Similar thread add-on has been added. Was a free add-on by 021 and adds the top 5 most similar threads when viewing one below near the quick reply area.

    Now you can find topics much easier. If a topic is similar to the one your viewing, the top 5 are listed below the reply area. Regards, -TopSilver

      I had a slight glitch when posting a new thread earlier..

      I haven't yet retested to see whether it was browser specific (Microsoft Edge 87.0.664.75 64-bit), but I can reproduce when posting another new thread.

        1@Nerdface[/USER] unless I am mistaken clearing your cache will probably fix the issue. I don't believe it was browser specific. If I remember it was a bit of css cleanup that needed to be done right after installing similar threads. Shouldn't be that way anymore.

          Cleared my cache, tested an InPrivate window and still get the same issue unfortunately 1@TopSilver[/USER]

          Will check with Chrome and FireFox..

            I have no way to reproduce it but I did check Microsoft Edge and there was no issue. I can't exactly say whats happening except it probably has something to do with clearing cache. If your sure you cleared it from "all time" and not just for the past day/month or so then I'm not sure.

              Similar threads appears fine for me. That was an issue that first appeared when it was first installed. Some added CSS fixed it right away though.

                Which theme are you testing? I'm currently using illuminate if that helps? Definitely not an issue on my end..

                  1@Nerdface[/USER] I see what you mean now. You weren't referring to similar threads in the widget but rather a list of similar thread titles that would show up in the thread title creation bar when creating a new thread. This functionality isn't needed as there was an option to disable that portion of the add-on, I have opted to do so. Mainly due to the fact that I don't want someone to make a duplicate thread title. Your efforts to assist the site are well appreciated. Thank you.

                    This is a nice feature to have. Would definitely help with creating new topics, if the topics are filled in with appropriate information. I hate creating new topics, if I can't find information from a search for a older topic that may be similar.

                      1@Joshua Farrell[/USER] I don't intend to add the feature back but I appreciate your honesty. The reason for the thread was mainly because of the similar thread widget below quick reply. A feature I think the site will benefit a great deal from because it will helps users find threads to post in so much easier. If anything I am hoping that would help. I noticed bizdustry had the same feature recently which assisted me greatly on finding threads. So far I only have got 11 posts on bizdustry from our chat on discord. I plan to go at it again soon though.
